Hi! We are Living Light Baptist Church

Follow The Living Light

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

Matthew 5:16

We are Living Light Baptist Church, a group of believers that love the Lord and desire to spread that love to others so that they may come to know Him. Our prayer is that you and your family will soon find your way to our open doors.

Our Beliefs

We are a group of people dedicated to the belief that it is possible for all people to have a relationship with our Creator! We have come to the conclusion, through a study of scripture, that the practice of Religion doesn’t really accomplish a whole lot. At Living Light, we believe that change occurs in the life of a person when that person is involved in a RELATIONSHIP with God. We have listed our published creed below, but perhaps the best way for you to know who we are, is to come and visit!

  • We believe in the verbal inspiration and authority of the Scriptures.
  • We believe the Bible reveals God, the fall of man, the way of salvation, and God’s plan and purpose in the ages.
  • We believe in the deity, virgin birth, vicarious death, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.
  • We believe the blood of Christ is the only atonement for our sins.
  • We believe that salvation is by grace, plus nothing and minus nothing. The conditions to salvation are repentance and faith.
  • We believe that men are justified by faith alone and are accounted righteous before God, only through the merit of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Justification establishes an eternal relationship that can never be broken.
  • We believe in the visible, personal, and premillenial return of Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.

Plan of Salvation

It is the Lord’s desire- and ours- that you become one of His children. God has promised eternity in Heaven with Him for all those who accept Him as their Personal Savior. It’s as easy as “ABC”:

A: Admit that you are a sinner.

Romans 3:23- For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

B: Believe that, because of your sin, you deserve to spend eternity in Hell.

However, Jesus shed His blood and died on the cross of Calvary to pay the debt for our sin. He then rose from the dead three days later, proving His victory over death, Hell, and the grave. He offers this as a free gift to anyone who will accept it in faith.

  • Romans 5:8- But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
  • Romans 6:23- For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

C: Call upon Jesus and ask Him to come into your heart, forgive your sins, and make you one of His children.

  • Romans 10:9- That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
  • Romans 10:13- For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

If you would like to accept God’s free gift of salvation, then all you have to do is pray and ask Him.
Your prayer might sound something like this:

Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I know that I deserve Hell because of it. However, I believe that you died on the cross and rose again in three days to pay for my sin. I ask you to come into my heart, cleanse my sin, and make me one of your children. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.

Please remember that simply saying a prayer doesn’t save you. You must believe this in your heart as well.

If you have any questions about salvation, or if you just prayed to receive Christ, please contact us and let us know. God bless you!
